Teaching Resilience

Sometimes, the stressors we experience can be tough to manage. The Resilience Lab helps us learn to tune into our bodies and to turn off our stress response when it’s not serving us. We use mindful techniques as a way to manage stress and improve well-being. Please see our offerings below.

Guided Meditation

RecWell offers guided meditation sessions when classes are in session. Drop-in, hybrid sessions are held on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. and Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. at the Cary Street Gym MindBody studio, or online via Zoom. Registration is required. Visit VCU Recreation and Well-Being on RamsConnect to register.

Looking for more ways to boost resilience through mind-body experiences? Check out ongoing programs including a variety of yoga classes, through the RecWell portal at recwell.vcu.edu.
